Thomas and Anneka Geary paid professional photographers Ian McCloskey and Nikki Carter of Westgate Photography £750 to cover what should have been the best day of their lives. But they were stunned when the pictures arrived and they were out of focus and dreadfully composed.

歷史好像還是會繼續重覆的，我們以前介紹過「災難式婚禮攝影」，今次受害人就是 Thomas 及 Anneka Geary 一對新人，他們聘用了名為「Westgate Photography」工作室的兩位職業攝影師 Ian McCloskey 及 Nikki Carter 來拍攝婚禮，費用是 750英鎊，結果就得到了這一批慘不忍睹的作品……

無論是構圖、拍攝時機、器材運用及至一些非常基本的攝影意識與技巧都完全不能稱為「職業」，甚至不比初學者程度，我猜想新人收到這些照片時，一定會覺得是開玩笑吧？

事件在英國已經被廣泛報導，有關工作室亦已倒閉並準備向新人賠償；想不到事件還累及另一間同名為「Westgate Photography」的公司，不得不在網站發出聲明澄清……

婚禮是人生大事，真的，千萬要找好的攝影師，看清楚他的往績；如果你就是攝影師，沒有信心就千萬不要「捱義氣」，沒有經驗就最好先找前輩幫忙 (確實這方面是師徒制比較可靠)，買了5D Mark III 或是 D800 絕不代表你就能替人拍攝婚禮。

又一個實例告訴大家，為甚麼好的攝影師要收這麼貴，因為婚禮攝影其實不容易的，場地光線不足、人物太多、事件密集、背景紊亂，對啊，請好好對待替你拍照的人。

Celebrating Beverly + Anthony!

Just back from Vancouver last night. It is a blessing trip for our crews as everything is perfect! Whenever we needed to shoot, the weather turns to the best situation!

The couples are so nice!  Thanks for the crew’s effort – German (MUA) & Mimi (behind the scene).

It is a very interesting and meaningful photo! I think this photo shows what we pursuit in people’s life in different stage and the cheery bloomson just stay there in the whole period of time! — with one_dream, one_love, one_car, one_home and one_babe at English Bay.

Love this shot at UBC (University of British Columbia) ! The two birds in the photo shows us the energy of life!

不同的時空，演繹同樣的幸福 / A Nostalgia way to Interpret happiness at their 10th anniversary

第一次見到Bess和Paul是在他們自己開的一間餐廳。餐廳本身很特別，完全的五十年代三藩市風格。從燈光到音樂，從每一張桌椅的佈局，到每一處小角落的細節，都做足功夫，讓人處處體會到主人的用心和熱情。他們想要拍的照片也很特別，一組完全五十年代香港感覺的相片，用來紀念他們婚姻生活的第十年。

We first met Bess and Paul in their own restaurant. the restaurant was very unique in 50′s San Francisco style. You can feel the enthusiasm of the owners from the lights above to the music selection, even from the settings of tables and chairs. Their request was also special: a set of 50′s Hong Kong style photos in memory of their ten years’ marriage.

主人公對這次拍攝的熱情從拍攝前的準備工作就可以窺見端倪。場景、服裝、髮型、化妝，具體到每一種Pose、每一個他們喜歡的角度、不喜歡的角度；大量的老照片、電影劇照、舊海報、廣告圖片、道具等等，足足發來幾十頁的圖片資料和storyboard，完全就是一個專業的電影美術指導。

Bess and Paul had huge enthusiasm towards the photo shooting. They already had everything in their mind from the poses, scenes, hairstyles, make-ups, costumes to props, storyboards and even their favorite angles for shooting. They were more like film art directors rather than ordinary customers.

每次接觸新鮮的題材總讓人充滿期待，我們也做足相關的功課，所以正式拍攝的時候十分順利。 最重要的是大家都玩得很開心!!!

It is always challenging and exciting to deal with customers on their special & new themes, as we have made enough preparations beforehand, the shooting went smooth and perfectly well. The most important is we had so much fun!!!

大到舊式Mini車，小到風筒、梳子、手錶，甚至道具香煙，細節決定成敗，道具的準確運用起了點睛的作用。

The Devil is in the details! We can see from the great details from from Mini car, Hairdryer, the comb, the watch, even the fake cigarette. All make the history.

影樓相片原本打算找一間老影樓來拍攝，但尋找了很久，發現香港已經很難再找到仍在使用而又適合今次主題的舊式影樓。於是我們決定，就在他們自己的餐廳進行，給它來了個360度大變身！

We chose their own restaurant instead of old style studios for photo shooting, because we find their restaurant has a great potential for transformation and can fit their designated theme perfectly.

當日拍攝的最後一組相片，是完全COSPLAY 他們父母當年的一張結婚照。不同的時空，演繹同樣的幸福。

攝影就是要從細節開始，讓每次一拍攝都獨具匠心。同樣的地點、同樣的主題，如何可以做到更好？我們相信，只要有心做，就沒有什麽不可能的事情吧!

The last set of photos shot were a complete cosplay of Bess’s parents’ wedding photo, and they successfully portrayed the same sweetness and love in two different eras of time.
One most important thing about photo shooting is focusing on minor details, so as to make each set of photos to be inventive and unique. With a careful and creative state of mind, photos taken in the same location for the same theme can have their own souls.

Creative Photography Workshop (CPW) 2012 Spring is FULL / 四月/五月份新的課程滿額了

謝謝大家的支持，四月/五月份新的課程已經滿了，希望不久的將來再開一個吧，由於之後要忙海外婚紗攝影的事，相信最快都要下半年了。有興趣的朋友留意喔~~
